Regal Bank Hosts Visit from March of Dimes National Child Ambassador, Aidan Lamothe

On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Regal Bank hosted a company-wide kickoff for the 2014 March for Babies, the March of Dimes' largest fundraiser. Regal Bank welcomed 2014 national March of Dimes child ambassador Aidan Lamothe.

'It was a thrill for our team to meet Aidan, who is not just a terrific kid, but a living testament to the important work being done by the March of Dimes," said Thomas Lupo, Regal Bank's president and chief executive officer.

The March of Dimes funds lifesaving research and programs and works to end premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. Lamothe, a six-year-old from New Hampshire, was born more than 11 weeks too early. Weighing just three pounds, he spent the first seven weeks of his life in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Today, Lamothe is a happy, energetic child - an outcome his parents credit to the research supported by the March of Dimes. As thanks, Lamothe is serving as the March of Dimes National Child Ambassador, touring the country with his parents to raise awareness for the organization's mission.

In Regal Bank's ongoing commitment to community engagement, the company announced that bank employees will form teams and participate in the March of Dimes March for Babies walk, taking place Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

"Donation forms will be available at all six Regal Bank branches for those who would like to join us in supporting this meaningful cause," said Tina Parsons, branch manager of Regal Bank's West Orange branch, who is spearheading the company's fundraising efforts for the March for Babies. "We hope to exceed our goal of $2,000 and every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference."
